Selection: Has a limited season. Skin should be smooth.
Preparation: Wash, cut into pieces, scoop out seed and peel. If peeling is in the too hard basket, cook with skin on and paper thin skin will come off easily when cool.

And Tastes So Good: Buy a whole pumpkin and have some fun. Boil and mash with butter, try soup, curry, a savoury or sweet pie; tasty with parsley, sage, or nutmeg.
Storage: Should keep uncut in cool airy environment. Check regularly. Once cut store in fridge.Too good to waste – can be frozen in serving sized pieces.
i had this pumpkin about 5 days in a cool place where I always keep them and went to cut it up and it had gone rotten on the bottom it was all slimy.I thought i could cut this bit out but the whole pumpkin was yuk inside
